Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is a person who openly talks about the misfortunes she has to face in her personal life and in the film industry. They often win applause for their pro-feminist stances. Now Vidya Balan is talking about the bad experience she faced from a director.
Vidya replied to the question whether she had ever faced a casting couch during her film career by describing this bad experience. Vidya tells about a director who invited her to his room and the formula she used to escape from it.
‘I have not faced the casting couch. But I’ve heard horror stories about this before. That was the fear of my parents. This is the reason parents tell you to quit acting. But I have not faced any such dire situation. But had a bad experience. It can only be described as unfortunate.
I was in Chennai for the shooting of an ad film. In the meantime I met the director of a film who promised to do it. We met at a coffee shop to talk about the film. But he insisted on going to his room and talking. But I didn’t understand. I was alone. But I did one thing wisely. After reaching the room I opened the door fully. With that he realized that the only way out was for him.’ Vidya says in an interview to Humans of Bombay. The actor added that he was also out of the film.
