IMD Rainfall Alert, Weather Update: Amidst the harsh winter in North India, the weather pattern is going to change once again in the coming days. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be a new round of rain in North-West and Central India between January 8 and 10 and hail will also fall in some states. This means that the cold is likely to increase further in the coming days. On the other hand, in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, conditions ranging from cold day to severe cold day are going to prevail for the next two days. At the same time, there will be dense fog in North-West India for the next two days. Only after that it can gradually reduce. Talking about South India, an alert has been issued for light to moderate rain for the next five days in Tamil Nadu and for the next two days in Kerala.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be dense to very dense fog in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh between January 6 and 8. Apart from this, similar situation will prevail in Western Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan on January 7. Apart from this, dense fog is likely to be seen in Eastern Uttar Pradesh on January 6-10, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Western Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura on January 7 and 8. Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi will have severe cold day conditions on January 6 and 7, while cold day conditions will prevail on January 8. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be no drop in the minimum temperature in North-West India for the next two days, while after that the temperature may increase by two to three degrees.

Apart from this, there will be heavy rains and thunderstorm warning in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and northern areas of Maharashtra on 8th and 9th. Talking about Rajasthan, a hail alert has been issued here on January 8 and 9 and in areas of Western Madhya Pradesh on January 9.
