Australia’s High Commissioner to India Mr. Berry O Farrell, Consul Mr. Peter Truswell, Deputy Consul Mr. Michael Brown met the Deputy Chairman Dr. Had a goodwill meeting with Gorhe. The High Commissioner, Mr. Berry O’Farrell, expressed the hope that substantial work can be done in the field of women’s empowerment and employment creation through the coordination of governmental and non-governmental organizations in Australia. There are more than 10 million people of Indian origin living in Australia. India’s trade with Australia can also be increased through them. Yoga Vidya and Ayurvedic medicines are in great demand in Australia as well as across the world. Many progressive farmers in Maharashtra cultivate only agricultural products with medicinal properties. The issue of promoting the export of these products was discussed extensively bilaterally. Mr. Aditya Thackeray, Member of Legislative Assembly, when he was the Minister of Tourism, conducted the Coastal Safety Training Program, Consul Mr. Peter Truswell expressed his opinion that it should be continued.(ads2)
